Happy New Year, Friends!
I love the freshness and the new hope of a new year. It feels full of possibilities. It’s such a beautiful time to reflect and to dream big and wish and have hopes for your life and your world.
The new year is typically a time when people ramp up and switch their marketing so I wanted to share with you what I’ve seen working in emails and what I predict is going to work in 2025.
So, to start off the new year, I want to share some of the top email marketing trends of 2025. These are the email marketing practices I have been doing in my own business and for my clients and it is what is driving results in our businesses.
These email marketing trends are going to make waves this year.
If you’re a coach, service provider, or someone with a one-to-many or one-on-one offer, this blog is packed with actionable tips to make email marketing feel good and WORK for you in 2025.
Let’s dive into 4 trends I’m seeing for 2025 that will help you connect with your audience, build trust, and—yes—make more sales.
Top Email Marketing Trends for 2025
Trend #1 – Email Your List More Often
Send more emails every week. Did you guys know that I was going to say that? Was that predictable? I feel like that had to have been like the most predictable trend I could have ever dropped on your lap. But, it is true. Email your list more than once per week.
Here’s why.
When you get into a rhythm of sending two or three emails to your list every week between launches, it does so many things for your business.
It gives you confidence in the content that you are putting out there as a marketer and as a business owner.
It’s making sure you’re hitting all the bases you want to hit. Educating, storytelling, delivering value, solving problems, overcoming objections, building community and collaborating. I think doing all those things in one email per week is pretty much impossible. So if you split it up into two or three emails per week, you will be touching all the bases.
Here are 3 emails I recommend sending per week:
- First, I recommend sending one email dedicated to your “hero piece of content.” So, have one email driving to your weekly podcast, or blog post, or Youtube video – whatever your core hero piece of content is. Drive traffic to that piece of content by sending an email highlighting it.
- Second, you can send an email that shows something important to you – whether that is highlighting your clients, people in your community, people you collaborate with, or even causes that are important to you. This email is really focused on what I call community building or community spotlighting. For me, my email like this goes out on Wednesdays. I call it influential women you should know or women crush Wednesday and I highlight a woman in business who I love and who I think my audience would love too. Sometimes it’s a client, sometimes it’s someone who was a guest on my podcast. Sometimes it’s just someone who I see putting out really great content and I’m like, woo girl, I’m going to put all the eyes on you! Use one email a week as your community builder and as your way of amplifying other people’s voices. Spread the goodness of the people that matter to you.
- Last, if you’re going to send three emails a week, I recommend dedicating one of your emails to a specific theme. Whether that is a Friday letter or tip, or a Monday letter, or a quick win, whatever that looks like, have it be a theme. For me, it’s a Dear Female Founder letter that goes out every Friday. It is just what I want to say to women business owners in the world. In the past, this has been a weekly copywriting tip for me where I share like copywriting stuff but my podcast has become that, so I don’t do that for my newsletter anymore. Either way, the goal is for your audience to know they are getting this themed newsletter from you that comes from your heart every Friday, Monday or whatever day you send it out…and they are going to look forward to it.
So, email your list more than once per week. You can do it.
You might even LOVE doing it.
You might think, “I will never have time for that!” but I promise You DO!
I guarantee you will love it and your subscribers are going to know you better when you go to launch. They are going to love your emails. They are going to feel your energy in your emails and you’re going to get into this rhythm of talking to this email community.
Trend #2 – Use Your Email List to Build Community
I already mentioned it in trend #1, but I’ll say it again because it helps build stronger relationships.
Use one email every week or every month as a way to build community by highlighting others and giving shout-outs to them. Think about who you can amplify in your email list. It can be your colleagues, your students, your friends, or even that business owner you want to connect with. It’s such a beautiful way to share client stories and wins.
Focus on community building, partnerships, and collaboration by amplifying voices that are important to you
Trend #3 – Use your emails to show how you do what you teach.
How I made 20k in the last 90 days performs better than I made 20k in 90 days. The reason for that is that people want to learn from what you’re doing.
Your consumers are savvy, and when they’re just being fed information about what we should do versus a business owner coming in and saying: “I wanted to make 20k in the next 90 days, this is exactly how I did it, and here’s how I would help you do it too.” You’re giving them a more engaged way of learning.
If I’m going to learn from somebody in this day and age or if I’m gonna hire a coach or an educator or a service provider, let me tell you, I better see that she is doing what she preaches. If she’s just telling me what to do, and telling me she can help me get to a goal, but I don’t see her actively living that goal, or sharing how she’s doing the day to day things that she’s telling me I need to do to be successful…I would not hire her. I don’t think you would either, right?
So, more emails sharing how you do what you’re doing behind the scenes of your week. Share the struggles you’re overcoming and the things you’re learning. Whatever you’re teaching people, be showing how you’re doing that thing with your emails.
Trend #4 – More emails that share How you do what you do.
Share your unique approach, process, and framework.
This is going to force you to not just say, I can help you. It’s going to force you to go deeper into that and show people how you can help them.
Don’t be afraid to give away your how.
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t mean you have to give away your coaching or your talents…but if you are saying you can help someone, you need to elaborate. They want to know what they are going to get from it, how it is set up to help them, and how it is different from any other module or course they’ve taken. I’m talking about how you do what you do.
In October, I did a formal launch of my Sales Page Copywriting service. I talk all about this launch in my podcast episode titled My email-only launch debrief! (How many emails, results, what worked & what didn’t!) – Go take a listen!
That launch was so successful because I got freaking clear on how I write sales pages, what my sales pages are like, and what my process is like. I also explained my framework for my clients, how I handle objections on sales pages, how I talk about pricing on sales pages, and how I do testimonials on my sales page.
Do you see where I’m going with this? It’s not just what you do, it’s how you do it.
It’s time to get clear on what you stand for, what you will do with clients, and what you will not do. What makes your process different? Explain the little nuances and specifics in your process with clients. Own that stuff and tell your audience about it…because that is how you work with people who are excited to work with you. By the time they sign the contract and get on the discovery call, they are going to tell you I already know how you do things because you told me…it’s clear. They aren’t taking a risk because they see you being honest about how you do things and they realize it aligns with their values and goals and makes them want to work with you.
Doing this might even revamp your offers. Seeing you as an expert who has an established process and established business builds that credibility for you.
That’s it! Those are my top email marketing trends for 2025.
